COURSE OBJECTIVE

The aim of this course is to familiarize participants to IRCA Registered Lead Auditor Level.
  • The course provides skills, knowledge and understanding of principles and practices of Internal and External Auditing of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
  • On successful completion of this course, the delegates will be capable of performing effective audits of companies’ Food Safety Management Systems, reporting the outcome and determine whether or not it meets the requirements of the ISO 22000 standards

  • Philosophy and the fundamental principles of ISO 22000 series
  • Brief review of the requirements of ISO 22000:2018 FSMS standard
  • Definitions, purpose, objectives and benefits of ISO 22000:2018 auditing
  • An explanation of audits, their purpose and planning, and the way to approach, perform and report an audit
  • Auditor’s responsibilities, personnel attributes and Auditor selection
  • Planning / Preparation and execution of ISO 22000:2018 FSMS auditing
  • Successful tools and techniques for ISO 22000:2005 FSMS auditing
  • Effective reporting of ISO 22000:2018 FSMS auditing
  • Effective follow-up ISO 22000:2018 FSMS auditing
  • ISO 22000:2018 FSMS auditing as a tool for ensuring safety of food and continual improvement
  • Effective reporting & follow-up of ISO 22000:2018 FSMS auditing
  • Auditor Registration Scheme

ELIGIBILITY

  • Some specific food safety knowledge and some basic working experience is required.
  • This is an intensive course and some basic awareness of ISO 22000:2018 is helpful.
